Introduction

José Manuel Lourenço is a full-time artist, currently working in London.

JM's artwork combines traditional techniques used by painters in oils over the centuries, with new materials and perspectives. His three dimensional and textured works were created as part of his degree shows at London's Chelsea College of Art and Design where he graduated in 2008. Since then, he has continued to explore and develop these styles.

JM incorporates sensitivities and visual elements from his native Portugal into his artwork and takes inspiration from travel and the natural world.
